We stand for a cohesive city, creating an environment that can unite different cultures, break down social barriers, create networking opportunities, spread love and encourage a connection between all of the members of our local community.

The Roberts Centre is a Portsmouth based organisation with a reputation for developing innovative responses to families who are struggling with improving their difficult circumstances, from homelessness or family breakdown.

Every year for the past four Urbond has chosen one or two local charities to support. Last year January 2017, The Roberts Centre was picked by Urbond as the charity of the year. Throughout the year (2017) Urbond hosted several different activities within the community to help with raising funds...

The Urbond Christmas dinner was a tremendous success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was a fantastic effort made by all of the Urbond committee members and volunteers, and a big thank you to all of those who attended.

Over 117 people attended the event and had briliant time. From the feedbacks we have received, the food was lovely, relaxed environment and people enjoyed talking to community members they would not have normally spoken to.
  • "Urbond has been very been useful for me. They not offer only football on Wednesday which has helped to keep me healthy but have also provided some health classes in cancer awareness and diabetes which were very useful as well. Also, they have various social events which offer good food, good company and help raise money for good causes. It has been an enlightening experience being part of the Urbond family and I am forever" grateful.

In 2016 we were chosen by Urbond as their charity of the year, the group managed to help us raise £400. They are fantastic lovely people to be associated with; they are making massive difference in the community."

  • "Urbond is fantastic move for the community and I hope it keeps going from strength to strength. ‘I would encourage people to go along and benefit the work of Urbond. ‘There are lots of groups, races, faith but not many which bring people from all different backgrounds together to have great time. I genuinely believe Urbond is something that everyone will be wanting to support."
